With over 150 reviews and a rating of 9.97 on Checkatrade, it was a sad day for us when we decided to leave.
Checkatrade has been recently bought out by homeserve who have decided to increase our annual fee by around 300%. Homeserve was fined £30.6m in 2014 for mis-selling and misuse of data and since taking over don't seem to feel it is important that new members are checked as stringently as we were when we joined and as a company we feel that is unacceptable.
Having said this we're not taring all current members as rogues because we know many who are extremely respectable and wish them well for the future.
The money we will be saving will be spent wisely and will mean we can carry on offering a competitive price.
